about

Under the radar is where we hide. You have probably never heared of SERVE & DESTROY Recordings before, but we have always been there. That is, not exactly always, but since 1999. Two years before S&D label-manager Bob Humid was celebrated with his highly-acclaimed double-release “Twisted Repairs” / “Twisted Despairs” (Draw a line between Certificate 18, Photek, Hidden Agenda and Rephlex and you’re there), he already gathered all kinds of interesting characters of cologne’s electronic underground (which was so splendidly hyped back in those days) in order to start a label that would nourish his needs of exalted and valiant electronic music. Call it Fidget or freestyle if you want, Bob likes the term “Eclectica”.

Time passed and the label (which never quite jumped on bandwagons or hypes) has issued about a dozen of original releases that covered the full spectrum of Electronic Music ranging from Electrofunk to Dubstep, Clicks’n’Cuts to Experimental Drone Music, Fidget, Industrial, D’n’B, Electropop, Dub, Ambient and further Techno and its many variants. It featured artists like Dan Curtin, twila.too, Numinos, Noize Creator, Mathias Schaffhäuser, Coloma, Beige (Braun & The Mob), Liquid Diffusion, Big Chief Electric, John Callaghan & Hypnotique, Waving Not Drowning , Desmond Denker and many, many others…

What you are actually loading into your player is an EP forming Part I (from V) releases that will altogether form a label-anthology including exclusive new material and some of the best selections of the back-catalogue plus one free DJ-Mix available ONLY for the buyers of the full EP. The separate Volumes will be released irregularly during 2013.

Enjoy the music. It has no hype going along with it ;)
