about

A remix-E.P. scheduled EIGHT[!] years after the orginal's official release-date has to have an attitude - or at least anything shitty like a "strong sales-point".

It better be bolshy, fulminant, demanding, energetic, vibey and superiorly crafted, right?

Well, ignoring the risk of sounding impertinently self-enamoured: That´s just exactly what we concocted here - a quaternity of four very individual genre-defying musical forces! Please understand, If you have a delirant fever for electronic music-tweakery, like the one all protagonists on this release are incurably infected with, then remixing a proper tune like "The Material" to transform it into something of a personal vision and urgency, is one of the highest forms of utterly pleasing and rewarding tasks and enjoyments. And hell, there was fun to be had.

01. The Material [Exildiscount's Rüstungsindustrie REMIX]
The opener track showcases berlin-based Exildiscount´s superproducing skills by drafting a freeminded technoslammer - uncomparable to anything "technoid" around at this very moment - say: It's a beautiful offence of a dance monster, featuring such a demanding and valiant breakdown that it ridicules any established methods of build-up-techniques as plain boring. Watch them!

02. The Material [Scale & Bob Humid's SuperElectroNatives REMIX]
Scale & Bob Humid's realization on the remix-case is a modernistic approach to the classic electro-genre - it´s title "SuperElectroNatives" just clearly indicating that you are dealing wwith a thick, slick and sweaty piece of electrofunk with a loaded, glowing and pulsating poplocking machine-heart at its very core.

03. Bob Humid's PT-76 REMIX is exactly what it sounds like: An inverted half-time-transformation of the original "The Material"-D'n'B-Tune rolling over you as a grindy Dubstep-Hybrid-tank of a track. This is one of those rare track-weapons that you will need to cross over from a Breakstep-DJ-mix into full velocity D'n'B-mode.

04. Once you´re there in uptempo-lands - why not taking all risks and absolutely no prisoners and step up to some devilish UK hardcore / junglistic hyper-edits by the talented lads Nod Flenders (Luke Murray-Smith) and Tom Excell of UK-producer fame?

You can now stop reading and determinedly raise the volume of your prefered reproductive PA to attest the aforementioned - or be silent forever.
